Maoist lawmakers disrupt House meet

KATHMANDU, May 13: The meeting of the parliament was postponed till Friday as the ruling Maoist lawmakers picketed the speakers’ rostrum as soon as the meeting began.

It was fifth disruption by the lawmakers of Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist) since Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal stepped down on May 4.


Chanting slogan against President Dr Ram Baran Yadav and demanding correction of his move to retain sacked army chief in office, the lawmakers disrupted the House meeting.
