MoMA awards prestige to 'Highway'

KATHMANDU, March 11: Deepak Rauniyar’s film ‘Highway’ staring Dayahang Rai, Reecha Sharma, Saugat Malla has recently been honored by New York’s Museum of Modern Art (MoMA). Highway has been chosen to inaugurate MoMA’s ContemporAsian, a program showcasing contemporary Asian cinema. MoMA will also screen the film for a week at Roy and Niuta Titus cinema theatre from April 25 to May 1.



Director Rauniyar and co-producer Danny Glover will be at hand to present the film in New York. Actor Asha Magrati, executive producer Mita Hosali, co-producer Joslyn Barnes and editor David Barker will also be present at the first screening of the film.
