KATHMANDU, Sept 27: River erosion has caused nearly half of the road at Simaltal along the Muglin-Narayangadh highway to collapse, disrupting traffic in one direction.
According to the Bharatpur Road Division Office, the Trishuli River eroded the road at Simaltal at around 8:45 am on Sunday, leaving the highway partially blocked.

With nearly half of the road section washed away, vehicular movement through the area has become risky. The Road Division Office said it is monitoring the condition of the road and assessing the possibility of further damage.
The water level in the Trishuli River continues to rise following persistent rainfall. Authorities have urged motorists and passengers travelling along the highway to exercise caution.
