The NC Parliamentary Party had earlier asked the government to present the budget by October 1, but the deadline has passed without the budget being presented.

The provincial government, led by Khag Raj Bhatta of the Nepali Communist Party, has failed to present the budget within the stipulated time, the NC said.

According to Shah, the delay reflects the government’s failure not only to formulate the budget but also to implement policies and make timely decisions.
