Nepal clinch fourth breakthrough as Dipendra removes half-centurion Bethell

Nepal claimed a key breakthrough against England in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup as Dipendra Singh Airee dismissed Jacob Bethell for 55, ending a threatening fourth-wicket partnership.

KATHMANDU, Feb 8: Nepal registered their fourth breakthrough against England in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup encounter, thanks to vice-captain Dipendra Singh Airee.



Dipendra dismissed aggressive England batter Jacob Bethell, who had struck a brisk half-century. Bethell was caught by Lokesh Bam for 55 runs. He had earlier stitched together a 71-run partnership for the fourth wicket with captain Harry Brook.

Bethell’s innings came off 35 deliveries and featured four fours and four sixes, before Dipendra’s crucial intervention halted England’s momentum.
