KATHMANDU, Sept 10: Nepal stormed into the final of the ACC Men’s Premier Cup 2026 after bowling Oman out for just 60 runs to secure an emphatic 87-run victory in the semi-final at Bayuemas Oval in Malaysia on Thursday.
Defending a modest target of 148, Nepal’s bowlers dismantled Oman’s batting lineup, dismissing the entire side in just 28.1 overs.
Oman’s Jatinder Singh top-scored with 25 runs, while Jiten Ramanandi contributed 13. None of the other Omani batters managed to reach double figures.

Dipendra Singh Airee and Sandeep Lamichhane led Nepal’s bowling attack with three wickets each, while Rohit Kumar Paudel and Lalit Rajbanshi claimed two wickets apiece.
Earlier, Nepal, invited to bat first after losing the toss, was bowled out for 147 in 45.4 overs.
Dipendra Singh Airee anchored Nepal’s innings with a patient 51 off 76 balls, while Basir Ahamad contributed 47. Dev Khanal and Aasif Sheikh scored 13 and 11 runs, respectively, while the remaining batters were restricted to single-digit scores.
For Oman, Jay Odedra and Hassnain Ali Shah took three wickets each. Muhammed Imran claimed two wickets, while Shakeel Ahmed and Mujibur Ali took one wicket apiece.
Nepal will face the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the final on Saturday, September 12. The UAE defeated Hong Kong by seven wickets in the other semi-final.
The winner of the Premier Cup will qualify for the 2027 Asia Cup.
