KATHMANDU, Sept 11: The Nepali Army has opened a road to the tunnel of the Chilime Hydropower Project in Rasuwa to allow heavy equipment to reach the site, as search and rescue operations continue at several hydropower projects affected by the recent disaster.
According to the Army Headquarters, work is underway at Chilime Hydropower with a joint team that includes foreign personnel. The team is currently clearing debris from the site.

Search and rescue operations are also continuing at the Rasuwagadhi Hydropower Project through a Composite Quick Reaction Team and a joint search and rescue team involving foreign personnel, the army said.
Search operations are likewise underway at the Langtang Hydropower Project.
At the Audit 1 tunnel of the Upper Trishuli-1 Hydropower Project in Hakubesi, an army team conducted a drone reconnaissance of the area extending around 200 metres from the tunnel. However, no one or anything of significance was found during the search, according to the army.
Search operations are also continuing around the powerhouse and tunnel areas of the Trishuli 3A Hydropower Project through a joint team. Similar search efforts remain underway at the Trishuli 3B project.
