Nepali non-life insurers earn premium of Rs 12.92 billion in Q1

The records with the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) show that 14 non-life insurers collected Rs 12.65 billion and four micro non-life insurers collected Rs 268.1 million in premium by selling their insurance policies during mid-July and mid-October this year.

KATHMANDU, Nov 5: Non-life insurance companies collected premium amounts worth Rs 12.92 billion in the first three months of the current fiscal year (FY).

The records with the Nepal Insurance Authority (NIA) show that 14 non-life insurers collected Rs 12.65 billion and four micro non-life insurers collected Rs 268.1 million in premium by selling their insurance policies during mid-July and mid-October this year.


Sagarmatha Lumbini Insurance Company made the largest premium earnings of Rs 1.49 billion, followed by Shikhar Insurance with Rs 1.38 billion and Siddhartha Premier Insurance with Rs 1.22 billion in the review period.
