Led by composer-singer Amrit Gurung, the premier Nepali folk rock ensemble will be departing from Kathmandu for their first ever concert in Tel Aviv, slated for August 12.
In a statement released, Gurung said, “Going to a new territory is always exciting, more so when the land is steeped in such historic importance.
“However, the main incentive is to be able to perform for fellow Nepalis living there,” added he.
The show is being organized by Israel-based Tamu Samaj in collaboration with Fores Media.

Amrit Rai of Fores Media shared that the band enjoys an unparalleled popularity in the Nepali community living in Israel.
“Nepathya’s music has the fragrances of Nepali-pan, their folk-infused melodies are big hits in the Nepali community mostly comprising migrant workers.
“Nepali performers usually come and sing on tracks, so it should be interesting, if not tough. to manage a live band,” added Rai.
“I hold great admiration for all those Nepalis living abroad since they are the main contributors of foreign remittances,” said Gurung.
“Amidst their difficult working life, they too deserve entertainment. Our aim will be to connect them to Nepal and share fond memories of their motherland,” added the performer.
