NEPSE extends losing streak, down 16.29 points as daily turnover slips to Rs 3.38 billion

KATHMANDU, July 30: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) dipped 16.29 points on Thursday, the consecutive fourth-day fall, closing at 2,672.58 points.



The market opened at 2,688.88 points and surged to the day’s high at 2,695.43 points in the first eight minutes. The market then went to a straight fall and hit the day’s low at 2,661.12 points in the last nine minutes.

The daily turnover declined further to Rs 3.38 billion from Rs 4.02 billion. The sensitive index also fell 2.31 points.


All 13 trading groups had their indices decline. Manufacturing and processing plunged by the largest of 72.06 points.


Among individual companies, the price of 59 companies increased, 206 decreased, and 11 remained stable. Reliance Spinning Mills had the transactions of its shares worth Rs 243.84 million.


Kalinchok Hydropower Limited had its market price decline by 14.99 percent, as Everest Colour Limited escalated by the highest of 15 percent.
