New constitution will be inclusive: Minister Yadav

NEPALGUNJ, April 28: Information and Communications Minister Raj Kishor Yadav has said the ongoing political battle is between forces that clamour for change and those wanting to maintain the status quo.



Speaking in a news conference organized by the Awadhi Journalists´ Association Central Committee on Saturday, Minister Yadav said the attempts of the Nepali Congress to bring a no-confidence motion against the government by abandoning the main agenda of peace and constitution writing was merely an ´uncivilized political attempt´.[break]



He stressed that the peace and constitution, instead of and breaking of governments, were the main and common issues for all the political parties in the present context.



The Minister for Information and Communications, who is also the Acting President of the Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Republican), reiterated that the new constitution would be inclusive. He said the people will get the new constitution as a gift if the political parties forge agreement on state restructuring and forms of governance.



He said anyone going against building a federal state would be considered to be anti-change, stressing that federal governance system instead of the unitary system would deepen the bonds of friendship and amity among the people which would consolidate nationality.



He also made it clear that a divided Madhes in course of carrying out state restructuring would not be acceptable to his party, adding that there was ground for agreeing to the ten-state model of state restructuring recently proposed by the UCPN (Maoist).



Advisor of the Association, Panna Lal Gupta, felicitated the Information Minister and the Agriculture Ministeron behal the association.
