GODAWARI, April 21: CPN (Maoist Center) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said that the local level election will take place as scheduled on May 31.
Talking to the media at Dhangadhi Airport this morning, Prachanda said the citizens should properly utilize the poll as an opportunity to strengthen democracy by taking it as a campaign.

Stating that some leaders from the opposition parties were spreading rumors about the deferral of election by the ruling alliance, the Maoist Center Chairman refuted such allegations and recalled agreement signed on Wednesday between the ruling parties on the electoral alliance in all metropolises and sub-metropolises.
He also urged one and all not to harbor confusions on timely elections. "There is no dilemma now. The (local level) election will take place on May 13," according to Dahal.
On the occasion, Chairman Dahal also underscored the need to make elections free, fair and impartial while ensuring massive public participation.
