LONDON, June 9: The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) is accelerating preparations for its upcoming 12th General Convention.
Dr Hemraj Sharma, the association's Vice President, said the world conference and general convention will take place in Kathmandu from October 10-13, 2025, and the NRNA has already started the necessary preparations.
He said officials made a principled decision in a Sunday meeting to form an election committee to select new leadership according to the constitution. The central (ICC) committee will select election commissioners at its upcoming meeting.

The association also formed a judicial committee to resolve disputes over membership distribution in the National Council. Additionally, it created a separate committee to oversee the International Council election.
President Dr. Badri KC chaired the meeting and decided to conduct both the National and International Council elections online using a face verification system.
General Secretary Gauriraj Joshi led the meeting that directed the central office to advance all necessary preparations for the general convention.
The association also decided not to affiliate national committees that fail to distribute membership through the MIS (Member Information System). It resolved to immediately find alternative solutions in place of such committees.
