JUMLA, June 16 : One person died and another sustained serious injuries after a tractor met with an accident near Lachugaun in Tatopani Rural Municipality–3 along the Karnali Highway in Jumla on Tuesday evening.
According to the District Police Office, Jumla, the tractor (registration number Bhe 1 Ta 8935) went out of control and plunged around 200 metres down the road.

Police said 35-year-old Kharbendra Shahi of Tila Rural Municipality–4 died on the spot in the accident.
Similarly, 53-year-old Deumani Sarki sustained serious injuries and preparations are underway to transfer him for further treatment.
Police have started an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
