KATHMANDU, Sept 8: Police have arrested one more person in connection with the ongoing gold smuggling case.
The arrested individual has been identified as Shiva Kumar Safar from Bara.

This latest arrest brings the total number of individuals in custody to 27 as part of the investigation into the smuggling of around 61 kg of gold.
The Department of Revenue Investigation had earlier intercepted and seized 60.716 kilograms of smuggled gold in the Sinamangal area of Kathmandu, following its passage through the customs at Tribhuvan International Airport. Investigation into the incident was subsequently launched.
