KATHMANDU, June 20: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is set to convene with over 4,200 delegates. The current count stands at 3,810 delegates, with an additional 200 representatives expected from the Overseas Nepalese Liaison Department across 25 countries.
According to the party secretariat, the party's statute allows for 200 nominations by the President, and further additions may occur through group entries into the party.
The final list of delegates will be compiled by addressing any objections, duplicates, and discrepancies identified in the preliminary list, with a completion deadline set for the evening following a Central Committee meeting.

The distribution of representatives from various regions includes 520 from Koshi, 630 from Madhesh, 790 from Bagmati, 490 from Lumbini, 470 from Gandaki, 360 from Karnali, and 550 from Sudur Paschchim.
Representation at the convention will encompass a diverse array of roles, including municipal and regional chairpersons, district chairpersons, and members of provincial committees. Additionally, delegates from provincial departments, disciplinary commissions, and advisory councils will be included.
The structure also allows for representation from various municipal levels, with specific numbers allocated for rural municipalities, municipalities, sub-metropolitan cities, and metropolitan cities, alongside delegates from the Provincial and District Liaison Departments.
On Sunday, the opening session will be held at Guesthouse ground in Bharatpur, while the closing session will be held at the Exhibition Centre. Leaders including party President Rabi Lamichhane have arrived in Chitwan for the convention.
Prime Minister and senior leader Balendra Shah is scheduled to come to Chitwan on Sunday.
The RSP general convention is taking place from June 21 to 23.
