KATHMANDU, Sept 21: Pakistani Ambassador to Nepal Mohammad Aamir Khan has expressed condolences to the family of RSS journalist Kalika Khadka, whose husband, journalist Tekraj Thami, has been missing since the Bhotekoshi flood.
Ambassador Khan visited the central office of Rashtriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) in Bhadrakali and met Khadka’s family. He expressed sorrow over Thami’s disappearance and urged the family to remain patient during the difficult situation.
Khan said Pakistan was ready to provide necessary assistance and offered educational support for Khadka’s daughter. He noted the historical and close ties between Nepal and Pakistan, including cooperation in education, and said many Nepali youths have received scholarships in Pakistan.

“I feel like I am a member of the Nepali family,” Khan said, expressing sympathy to Khadka and offering to support her daughter’s education if necessary.
During his visit, Khan also toured the RSS Museum and praised the news agency’s contribution to journalism. He expressed interest in cooperation between RSS and Pakistani media and said Pakistan was committed to supporting Nepal and the international community on climate justice.
RSS General Manager Sandeep Rai said the agency was willing to establish institutional cooperation with Pakistan, including with the Associated Press of Pakistan (APP). RSS Editor-in-Chief Uttam Silwal also stressed the potential for stronger cooperation between the two countries’ news agencies.
RSS Chief News Reporter Ekraj Pathak briefed the ambassador on the challenges Nepal is facing due to climate change and discussed possible future collaboration between Pakistani media and RSS.
