Chaudhary urged PM Karki to address the demands and concerns of the Tharu community, expressing frustration that even after ten years of the Constitution, the issue of reservation in civil service for Tharus has not been ensured.
PM Karki emphasized that rights established under the Constitution and laws cannot be blocked by anyone. She stated, “I cannot understand who or why anyone would block rights guaranteed by the Constitution. I am concerned about this. The implementation of rights established in the Constitution and laws must not be hindered.”
She added that the country is a shared garden for all and proper representation of every community in the state is essential for sustainable development. The Tharu community celebrates the Maghi festival every year on the day of Maghe Sankranti.
