Police arrest two 'most wanted' commanders

JANAKPUR, June 25: Police arrested two commanders of the Tarai Army, a little known armed outfit operating in the Tarai region, from Sarlahi district on Wednesday evening.



Those arrested are Bhairab Prasad Yadav, central vice chairman, and Birendra Yadav, in-charge of Rautahat and Sarlahi districts, both of the Tarai Army, said Superintendent of Police Sharad Oli of district police office Sarlahi.



Both were on Nepal Police´s "most wanted" list and officers have been in search of them for months, said Oli. An investigation is underway over their involvement in criminal activities.
