KATHMANDU, May 17: Light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning is likely to occur today at a few places in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini Provinces, along with hilly regions of the rest of the provinces.
There is also a possibility of light snowfall at one or two places in the high hilly and mountainous region of the country, according to the Meteorological Forecasting Division (MFD).
Heavy rainfall likely in Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini
The weather today remains partly to generally cloudy in Koshi Province, Bagmati Province, Gandaki Province, and Lumbini Province, along with hilly regions, and partly cloudy to mainly fair in the rest of the country.
The country is currently under the influence of westerly winds coupled with local winds. There is also a partial impact of vapor-filled winds from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, adds the MFD.
