KATHMANDU, May 11: The weather will remain generally cloudy in Sudurpashchim Province, as well as the mountain and hilly regions of the country today, while the Tarai will remain partly cloudy.
According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, there is a possibility of moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning at a few places in the mountain and hilly regions of the country and at one or two places in the Tarai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpashchim Provinces.

Later tonight, cloudy skies will prevail over the mountainous and hilly regions of the country, including Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces, and the weather will be partly cloudy over the rest of the country.
There is a possibility of moderate-to-heavy rain with thunder and lightning and snowfall at a few places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces and at one or two places in the rest of the provinces.
Meteorological analysis by the MFD states that Nepal is currently under the partial influence of westerly winds, local winds, a low-pressure area in the lower atmosphere near the eastern region of Nepal, as well as a low-pressure trough in the upper atmosphere over the central and eastern regions of the country.
