The stakeholders said that the amount was spent for awareness, education and arrangements to Kamalaries, establishment of cooperatives for Kamalaries, their empowerment and construction of physical infrastructures, among others, during the period. [break]
The organisations working in the field of Kamalaries also claimed that they have rescued 12,500 kamalaries under the campaign.
Different organisations including FNC, Freed Kamalari Development Forum, Backward Society Education, SWAN, Sahayog Samaj Dang and Plan Nepal, among others, spent the amount in different works related to Kamalaries.
A total of 512 Kamalaries are yet to be rescued in five districts of the western Nepal including Dang although the government had already declared Kamalaries free.
