KATHMANDU, Sept 15: A scooter rider died after his scooter collided with a bus near Gangalal Hospital in Kathmandu Metropolitan City-3 on Tuesday.
The accident occurred when a public bus, registration number Ba 5 Kha 3671, was traveling from Budhanilkantha toward Narayangaopal Chowk and a scooter, registration number Ba 53 Pa 2485, was heading in the opposite direction toward Budhanilkantha.

The scooter rider, 22-year-old Samir Shrestha of Chunikhel, Budhanilkantha Municipality-13, sustained serious injuries and died during treatment, according to Naresh Raj Subedi, spokesperson and Superintendent of Police at the Kathmandu Valley Traffic Police Office.
Ayushma Magar, 21, who was riding pillion on the scooter and is also from Chunikhel, was injured in the accident and is receiving treatment, traffic police said.
