Six seriously injured as jeep plunges off road in Salyan

According to the District Police Office, Salyan, the jeep lost control and fell about 200 meters below the road.

BIRENDRANAGAR, Sept 13: Six people, including the driver, were seriously injured after a jeep (Bolero) veered off the road and plunged around 200 meters in Salyan on Saturday morning.



The jeep, bearing registration number Lu Pra 02-001 Ja 0005, was heading from Simkha in Triveni Rural Municipality-5 toward Tulsipur via Luham when it met with an accident at Simkha.

According to the District Police Office, Salyan, the jeep lost control and fell about 200 meters below the road.


Police Inspector Devraj Bhattarai, information officer at the District Police Office, Salyan, said the injured include 29-year-old Tarak Bohara, 24-year-old Bhupal Pun, 50-year-old Dillibahadur Wali and 42-year-old Lalmati Budhathoki, all from Simkha. The identities of two other injured people have yet to be established.


Following the accident, all six injured were rescued and taken to Luham for treatment.


Two of the injured were later brought to Salyan District Hospital, while three others received initial treatment at a polyclinic in Luham before being referred to Dang for further treatment, Inspector Bhattarai said.
