Addressing an interaction organized by Reporters' Club Nepal on the eve of Independence Day of India on Friday, Chairman Oli said those leaders were trying to fulfill their personal and petty interests in the name of India. Oli also announced that his party will leave no stone unturned to foil any such attempts."Some people have given sword and batons to local people in Dhangadhi and delivered speech to drive away other people, saying that they are true representatives of India," Oli said while hinting at some Madhesi leaders's hateful speech in Dhangadhi. "I strongly denounce this anti-national unity, anti-communal harmony and the thinking aimed at inciting violence. We won't let this to succeed."
Speaking in the program that was also attended by Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Oli said that UML had not seriously taken the speech of those falsely claiming to be true representatives of India. "I want to make it clear to the Excellency. We have not taken this kind of policy as India's policy," he said. "We recognize what ModiJi addressed in our parliament. We recognize what ModiJi has exercised. We recognize ambassador's view."
Oli said that the relationship between Nepal and India will be negatively affected if anyone comes to Nepal and tries to dictate us to do this or that thing. Oli said that Nepal and India share historical relations based on cultural kinship, economic and social interdependence and that these two countries will continue to share excellent bilateral relations even in the days to come.
