Sunkoshi, Budhigandaki rivers cross warning levels, residents urged to stay alert

According to an alert issued by the division at 6 am on Wednesday, water levels at the Khurkot monitoring station in Sindhuli along the Sunkoshi River and the Arughat station in Gorkha along the Budhigandaki River have risen above the warning levels.

KATHMANDU, Sept 2: The Flood Forecasting Division has urged residents in downstream areas of the Sunkoshi and Budhigandaki rivers to remain alert after water levels crossed the warning thresholds.

According to an alert issued by the division at 6 am on Wednesday, water levels at the Khurkot monitoring station in Sindhuli along the Sunkoshi River and the Arughat station in Gorkha along the Budhigandaki River have risen above the warning levels.


Residents living in downstream areas of the two rivers have been urged to take necessary precautions and remain vigilant.
