Thirteen sick after consuming poisonous mushroom

PARSA, Birgunj, July 3: Some 13 members of a same family of Manaharwa VDC, Bara, who turned to be in critical condition after consuming spurious mushroom brought from forest, are being treated at Narayani sub-regional hospital in Birgunj.



Five among those undergoing treatment are in serious condition, said the hospital doctors. [break]



Those having sickness after the consumption of mushroom brought from forest on Monday afternoon are Kamala Gole, 35, of Manarhawa-1, Jainpur, her daughter Anita Gole, 15, Belimaya Gole, Shanti Gole, Arati Gole, among others.



The critical among them are Kamala, Anita, Devimaya and Benimaya. All of them belong to Tamang community.
