Tunes of Solitude

I imagine this departure of yours is my poetry.

By Sushant Thapa

I leave hopeful doors ajar
waiting for your open embrace.

The glass breaks
and the ice turns my feet cold.

I tiptoe into your life.
My life otherwise runs anti-clockwise.

This is a poem for my wrapped heart
waiting for your revelation.

On the way, you are lost.
I imagine this departure of yours is my poetry.

I have learned to express
and be the fountain of joy

I search for my dancing partner
when life teaches me tunes of solitude.
