KATHMANDU, July 26: A woman died in a road accident in Balkumari, Lalitpur on Saturday.
According to Nepal Police Spokesperson Deputy Inspector General, Binod Ghimire, a woman in her early twenties died on Saturday afternoon after being hit by a mini truck with registration number Ba 4 Kha 2477. The vehicle that was traveling from Gwarko to Koteshwor hit the pedestrian on the road in Balkumari, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-19.

The identity of the deceased has not yet been revealed. She was seriously injured in the accident and died during treatment at the B&B Hospital, and the driver has been taken into custody, said Ghimire.
Meanwhile, Ramkrishna Bajgain, a scooter driver aged 38, died in an accident after being hit by a motorbike in Bhadrakali, Kathmandu Metropolitan City-29. Bajgain, who was riding the scooter with registration number Ba 75 Pa 1944, hailed from Makawanpur’s Bakaiya Rural Municipality-4 and had been residing in Satdobato, Lalitpur Metropolitan City-15.
Police stated that Bajgain died during treatment at Patan Hospital, Lalitpur. The motorcycle's registration number is unknown and the search for the driver is ongoing.
