Two RPP lawmakers to attend parliament, rest to join protest

After 2 pm, RPP, which is preparing to hold a protest at Shanti Batika demanding the restoration of the monarchy, has decided to send two of its lawmakers to represent the party in parliament for the budget speech.

KATHMANDU, May 29: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), which is preparing for demonstrations demanding the restoration of the monarchy, will also be present in parliament during the upcoming Fiscal Year (FY)’s budget speech. The government is set to present the budget in the House of Representatives at 3 pm today.



After 2 pm, RPP, which is preparing to hold a protest at Shanti Batika demanding the restoration of the monarchy, has decided to send two of its lawmakers to represent the party in parliament for the budget speech.

According to the spokesperson, Mohan Shrestha, Dhruva Bahadur Pradhan and Roshan Karki will represent the RPP in parliament today.


Out of the 14 lawmakers, the party chairman, senior leaders, and the remaining 12 lawmakers will participate in the protest. Chairman Rajendra Lingden is scheduled to lead a rally starting from Maitidevi and join the assembly at Shanti Batika.
