ABU DHABI, Dec 10: The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has announced a major humanitarian commitment of USD 550 million to support the United Nations’ 2026 Global Humanitarian Overview (GHO).

The announcement was made in line with the directives of UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. The substantial pledge underscores the UAE’s long-standing dedication to global humanitarian assistance and its commitment to alleviating suffering, strengthening resilience, and supporting vulnerable populations affected by conflicts, disasters, and emergencies worldwide.


Officials said the UAE remains a steadfast partner of the United Nations, working collaboratively to address urgent humanitarian challenges and to promote stability and well-being across regions in need.
