HELSINKI, Sept 23: Ukraine and Finland on Wednesday signed a defence accord to work together on drone production, authorities said.
The deal allowing for the transfer of technology was sealed on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York by Finland's President Alexander Stubb and Ukraine's President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Stubb told a press conference that it would involve joint production and that Ukraine could be interested in making drones in Finland where it could be "more efficient and cheaper".
"Ukraine needs all our support in its fight. At the same time, the cooperation is mutually beneficial. By learning from Ukraine's experience, we are strengthening our own capabilities," Stubb said on social media.
Zelensky, for his part, called the agreement an "important step for the joint protection of our people and an even stronger partnership between our countries".
"We are always ready to share with our closest friends what has helped us protect lives," the Ukrainian leader posted on X.
