As per the decision, protest demonstrations will be held at 3 PM today at all district headquarters under the leadership of party-affiliated mass organizations. Similarly, on March 29, district party committees will organize demonstrations and submit memorandums to the Chief District Officer (CDO) offices in all districts.
The UML also said it would engage in dialogue and cooperation with all political parties, civil society, and the general public who support democracy and the rule of law. The party expressed serious concern over recent developments and indicated that the protests would be carried out in phases.
Currently, he is admitted at the Teaching Hospital following his health check-up.
Chair Oli was arrested on Saturday morning from his residence in Bhaktapur as part of the implementation of recommendations made by a probe commission formed to investigate the incidents of September 8 and 9.
The newly formed government under Rastriya Swatantra Party leader Balendra Shah decided on Friday to immediately enforce the commission’s report, paving the way for the arrests.
