KATHMANDU, Jan 4: CPN-UML has recommended General Secretary Shankar Pokharel as the sole candidate from Dang constituency No. 2 for the House of Representatives (HoR) under the direct election system for the parliamentary polls scheduled for March 5.

According to constituency coordinator Sudan KC, a meeting of the constituency coordination committee held on Thursday decided to forward Pokharel’s name as the only recommendation. Dang–2 is Pokharel’s home constituency.
