Voting for PP election of NC concludes

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Voting for the election of Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party (PP) has concluded. Although the polling was said to start from 8AM, the polling started a little late.

KATHMANDU, Dec 21: Voting for the election of Nepali Congress (NC) Parliamentary Party (PP) has concluded. Although the polling was said to start from 8AM, the polling started a little late. 



89 MPs have voted to elect the leader of the parliamentary party. Out of them, 88 people casted their votes at the polling station in Singha Durbar, while one MP voted from the hospital. MP Maya Rai was in the hospital so she voted from the hospital. It is said that the counting of votes will start shortly.

The first vote was casted by the candidate of the PP, party president Sher Bahadur Deuba and another candidate, General Secretary Gagan Kumar Thapa. Both Deuba and Thapa are competimg for the leader of the PP.


Voting took place at the Nepali Congress Party Parliament Office Singha Durbar premises.
