Voting hours end at 5 PM nationwide, voters already in queue allowed to cast ballots

KATHMANDU, March 5: The official voting hours for the House of Representatives election ended at 5 pm on Thursday.



Voting had begun at 7 am across the country and was scheduled to continue until 5 pm. With the end of the designated time, polling has formally closed at most polling centers.

However, the Election Commission said voters who had already entered polling centers and were standing in line before 5 pm will still be allowed to cast their ballots.


Field reports indicate that voting has already concluded at many polling centers in several districts as the scheduled time expired.
