According to CIAA spokesperson Rajendra Kumar Paudel, Ward Chair Yadav demanded a bribe from a service recipient in exchange for recommending payment after the completion of various development projects within the ward.

Yadav did not receive the money himself but instructed Bipin Kumar Pandey, the proprietor of Shri Ganesh Trading based in Siddharthanagar-9, to collect it on his behalf.

The CIAA team arrested both Yadav and Pandey with the bribe amount after Pandey had already received the money from the service recipient.

Further investigation is underway, the CIAA said.
