Xi's visit has taken Nepal-China ties to a new height, says Chinese scholar (with video)

KATHMANDU, Oct 14: Chinese President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Nepal on October 12 and 13 at the invitation of his Nepali counterpart Bidya Devi Bhandari. The visit has been taken as a watershed moment in the Nepal-China relations. During the visit, the top Chinese leadership assured to help Nepal to transform itself from a ‘landlocked’ to a ‘land-linked’ country by developing Trans-Himalayan Multi-Dimensional Connectivity Network. 



More importantly, the two countries elevated "Nepal-China Comprehensive Partnership of Cooperation Featuring Ever-lasting Friendship" to "Strategic Partnership of Cooperation Featuring Ever-lasting Friendship for Development and Prosperity".
