According to Mahesh Acharya, the EPS section chief at the Department of Foreign Employment (DoFE), 57,652 submitted forms for Korean language test between May 2 and 5.
Those who get through this test will be put on a roster, and be sent to South Korea for jobs. South Korea has demanded 7,100 workers from Nepal this year.
Last year, over 42,000 Nepali youths has applied for 4,000 jobs. The Korean language test will be held on July 22 and 23. A committee headed by labor minister has given the responsibility of conducting the test to Private and Boarding Schools´ Organization of Nepal (PABSON) for this year.
