Army mobilized at Jaleshwar Jail

MAHOTTARI, Sept 30: The District Administration Office (DAO), Mahottari has deployed Nepalese Army personnel in te district prison in Jaleshwar for a week in view of security amidst the ongoing agitation in various districts in southern plains, including Mahottari.

According to Deepak Kafle, Chief District Officer (CDO) at the DAO, Mahottari, a total of 39 army men from the Shree First Rifle Battalion have been deployed at the Jail to avert the untoward activities from the prisoners.

The army men have been dispatched under the command of Captain Suman Khattri after the decision of the government.

The 'C' graded Jaleshower Jail, established in 1962, accommodates 376 inmates, including 36 women, shared Shovendra Thakur, Chief of the Jaleshower Jail. RSS
