Junior TT team brings home 5 medals

KATHMANDU, June 24: Nepali table tennis team on Tuesday returned home from India after participating in the South Asian Junior Table Tennis Championship held in New Delhi from June 17-19.



Nepal bagged five bronze medals in the championship. Nepal won three bronze in the team event, one each in doubles and singles, according to Nepal Table Tennis Association.

Shyantu Shrestha won medal in the cadet boy's singles event, while the pair of Shyantu and Ritiz Joshi claimed bronze in the cadet boys' team events.


Similarly, the pair of Norden Tamang and Renuka Magar came third in the junior girl's doubles event, while the pair of Diksha Tamang and Swikriti Shrestha won bronze in the cadet girls' team events. Norden, Renuka and Rupa Limbu finished third in the junior girls' team event.
