Thapa appointed president's security advisor

KATHMANDU, April 20: Former Lieutenant General Netra Bahadur Thapa has been appointed as the security advisor to President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

Thapa, a resident of Kathmandu, is appointed to the post of a security expert to provide suggestion and advices to the President on the security affairs.

He will be awarded remunerations and facilities on a par with a Minister of State, the Office of the President said Wednesday. RSS
