KATHMANDU, Aug 8: The UCPN (Maoist) has expressed reservation over recommendation of 60 gazetted second class officers as district court judges.

Holding a press conference on Saturday, Chief of Law Department of the party Prabhu Sha flayed the decision charging it of being against the spirit of the interim constitution.

Sha said the decision of the Judicial Council (JC) is against the constitution as only one woman and Maheshi have been recommended as judges.

“The recommendation is against the principle of inclusiveness,” Sha said.

JC on Thursday had recommended 60 people as judges at district courts.
