KATHMANDU, June 5: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chair Rabi Lamichhane has emphasized that sensitive issues like border disputes should be resolved through diplomatic channels rather than public debate or pressure.



Speaking upon his return to Nepal after completing a five-day visit to India, Lamichhane said such matters require a structured and phased diplomatic approach.

He said diplomacy should not be driven by popularity or “noise-making,” but handled with responsibility and seriousness.


Addressing reporters at the airport, Lamichhane noted that border-related concerns should be taken forward through active diplomatic engagement rather than public escalation, adding that Nepal has historically raised such issues through formal channels and will continue to do so.


He also stressed that diplomatic issues have defined processes and stages, and should be handled accordingly for effective resolution.
