The petition was filed by Oli’s wife, Radhika Shakya and Lekhak’s wife, Yashoda Lekhak, on March 29, citing that their husbands were being held in unlawful detention and requesting their immediate release.

Earlier, a bench led by Justice Megraj Pokharel had issued an interim order on Oli’s petition, while Justice Kumar Regmi had done the same for Lekhak’s petition on March 30.

The writ claims that their arrest and detention, based on recommendations in the inquiry commission’s report regarding incidents on September 8 and 9, were illegal.
