KATHMANDU, July 17:Vehicular movement along several highways across the country has been affected by monsoon-induced disasters since early Friday morning.
According to Nepal Police, vehicular movement has been disrupted after landslides, soil erosion and debris triggered by torrential rain blocked roads in different parts of the country.

Police said the Khurkot–Nepalthok–Katunjebensi section of the BP Highway was closed to all vehicles from Thursday evening until Friday morning due to the risk of flooding.
Likewise, the Mechi Highway in Ilam Municipality-9 has been completely obstructed as the road remains muddy following continuous rainfall.
Similarly, the Saljhandi–Dhorpatan road section at Panini Rural Municipality-2 in Arghakhanchi district has been fully blocked after a landslide.
Police also said a landslide at Jirokilo in Bhotekoshi Rural Municipality-4 of Sindhupalchowk district has obstructed vehicular movement along the Araniko Highway.
Meanwhile, according to Nepal Police, vehicular movement resumed along the Kanti Highway on Friday morning after debris was cleared from the Ghattepakha area in Bakaiya Rural Municipality-11 of Makawanpur district.
