KATHMANDU, March 27: Amresh Kumar Singh has rejected a cabinet position in the government led by newly appointed Prime Minister Balendra Shah (Balen). According to sources, Singh declined the offer to serve as Minister for Industry, Commerce, and Supplies.

Following his refusal, Prime Minister Balen has reportedly decided to retain the Industry Ministry portfolio along with the Defense Ministry.
Singh was elected to the House of Representatives from Sarlahi-4, defeating Nepali Congress leader Gagan Kumar Thapa.
