PARSA, Dec 3: Birgunj Customs Office collected Rs 33 billion in revenue during the first four months of the current Fiscal Year (FY). Of this, Rs 22.90 billion came from the import of five types of petroleum products, while Rs 10.10 billion was collected from the import of vehicles and their spare parts.
The office also collected Rs 4.58 billion from iron and iron products, Rs 4.25 billion from textiles, and Rs 3.17 billion from the import of machinery and parts.

Similarly, Rs 3.07 billion in revenue was collected from the import of electric machinery, equipment and related spare parts.
In the same four-month period, goods worth Rs 284.89 billion were imported through Birgunj. The office reported that total revenue collection in the current fiscal year has reached Rs 75.59 billion.
