SIRAHA, Oct 9: A 21-year-old bus helper died after falling from a moving passenger bus in Siraha on Thursday morning. The incident occurred near Jiromail in Dhangadhimai Municipality–9 along the East–West Highway.
According to police, the bus (Na 7 Kha 265) was traveling from Biratnagar to Janakpurdham when the helper, identified as Pawan Kumar Yadav of Lahan Municipality–1, accidentally fell off the vehicle. He was critically injured after being run over by the rear wheel of the bus.

District Police Office spokesperson DSP Ramesh Pal said Yadav was rushed to the Provincial Hospital in Lahan for treatment but was pronounced dead by doctors around noon.
Police have taken the 40-year-old driver, Laxmi Mahato, into custody for further investigation, DSP Pal added.
