KATHMANDU, March 8: The probe commission formed to investigate the events of the Gen Z movement in September and the alleged repression by the government has submitted its report to Prime Minister Sushila Karki.

The probe commission was initially given three months by the Cabinet to investigate the human and material losses of the movement that occurred on September 8 and 9.This period was later extended three times, giving an additional 75 days. The report was submitted with just one day remaining in the final deadline.
The high-level commission was led by Gauri Bahadur Karki, former chairperson of the Special Court. Its members included former AIG Bigyanraj Sharma and legal expert Bishweshwar Bhandari.
During the movement, 76 people lost their lives.
